Oh The Beauty of PORTRAITS

Lets start with one of the greatest Richard Avedon. This photograph resonates with me because it is raw, beautiful, and real she is herself and this photo says it; everyone before this photo of the beautiful MARILYN MONROE just thought sex object, male fantasy, Hollywood star this photo says human being, just like the rest of us. I Love it :)

Martin Schoeller I was looking for images by Annie Leibovits and got side tracked ... I stumbled upon this image of Angelina Jolie and this is how i want some of the portraits I put in my book to turn out. I want you to just be able to see the face the shoulders and arms are not always necessary.

After i found Martin Schoeller I then, found on the national Portrait gallery's site Alec Soth whose photo named "misty" shows that even without the mess of hair and tons of makeup you can still have a beautiful portrait.
