This photograph resonates with me because it is raw, beautiful, and real she is herself and this photo says it; everyone before this photo of the beautiful MARILYN MONROE just thought sex object, male fantasy, Hollywood star this photo says human being, just like the rest of us. I Love it :)
Martin Schoeller I was looking for images by Annie Leibovits and got side tracked ... I stumbled upon this image of Angelina Jolie and this is how i want some of the portraits I put in my book to turn out. I want you to just be able to see the face the shoulders and arms are not always necessary.
After i found Martin Schoeller I then, found on the national Portrait gallery's site
Alec Soth whose photo named "misty" shows that even without the mess of hair and tons of makeup you can still have a beautiful portrait.
